Join local author and Clay County historian Cheryl McCann for a conversation based on her book, Stirring Up History: The Meals, Memoirs, and Memories of Our Ladies of Clay County. The book recreates two turn-of-the-century cookbooks created by local church groups, and adds something extra: carefully researched biographical info about the women who compiled those books. Come learn a little bit about food and life in 1880s/early 1900s Missouri, and about some of the resourceful women who helped shape Clay County in its early days.
